Executive Director
Kellee has been a part of the Holway ECC community for more than two decades and has dedicated her career to creating meaningful, nurturing experiences for young children and their families.
Kellee is a graduate of Lasell College, where she earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and an M.S. in Management. She began her career at The Barn as the Lead Educator in the Toddler Two classroom, where she had the joy of watching many young children grow, learn, and develop from 2002–2007.
In July 2007, Kellee became the Education Director of the Holway Child Study Centers– The Barn. In August 2019, she was named Executive Director of the Holway Early Childhood Centers – Barn & Rockwell. In this role, Kellee works closely with the educators, children, and families of Holway ECC to support a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Kellee is passionate about supporting educators and creating curriculum that recognizes and celebrates the many different ways children learn and experience the world. She guides the teaching teams in developing creative curriculum inspired by Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, encouraging educators to see each child as a unique learner with their own strengths, interests, and ways of making sense of the world.
One of Kellee’s favorite parts of working with young children is seeing the world through their eyes. She believes children have an incredible ability to find wonder in everyday moments, and she takes great pleasure in learning from their questions, ideas, discoveries, and perspectives.
In addition to her work at Holway ECC, Kellee serves as an Adjunct Professor at Lasell University in the School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences. She enjoys sharing her experience and passion for early childhood education with future educators and helping them understand the important role they will play in the lives of young children.
Kellee’s Personal Philosophy
“I believe that young children learn not only through academic challenges, but through play, relationships, and meaningful social interactions with their peers and educators. Children thrive when they feel safe, loved, respected, and understood. I believe it is our responsibility as educators to nurture each child while providing the experiences, encouragement, and support they need to grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Most importantly, I believe we should never lose sight of the joy of childhood and the incredible opportunity we have to experience the world alongside children as they learn and grow.”
